Washington’s Monument
Rising above the treetops beneath a heavy Washington sky, the Washington Monument stands as a tribute to the nation's first president and the ideals that shaped its founding. Built to honor George Washington, the towering marble obelisk has watched over the nation's capital for more than a century, its simple design carrying a powerful sense of history. Captured in black and white, the monument's striking silhouette and weathered stone create a timeless portrait of one of America's most recognizable landmarks.
