The more time I spend photographing the outdoors, the more I notice the beauty in places people often overlook.

Adam Reinert is a landscape and wildlife photographer based in southwest Iowa. His interest in photography began as a 4-H project encouraged by his parents and eventually grew into a lifelong passion for documenting the outdoors. He travels throughout the United States photographing landscapes, wildlife, and the natural character of the places he visits — from the rolling hills and back roads of the Midwest to some of the country's most iconic national parks and mountain landscapes.

Some of his favorite images have come from places close to home in Iowa that most people drive past every day without thinking twice about, while others have come from some of the most iconic landscapes across the country. Traveling and photographing these places has given him a deeper appreciation for just how beautiful and diverse America really is.

More than anything, I hope my work encourages people to appreciate the outdoors, take pride in the natural beauty of our country, and recognize the importance of preserving the wild places that still remain.
