There’s no landmark more tied to Iowa State than the Campanile. Standing tall for over 125 years, it’s been a quiet witness to generations of students making their way across campus. It’s where memories were made — homecoming weeks, walks to class, and VEISHEA celebrations that brought campus to life each spring.
For me, the Campanile has always felt like the heart of Iowa State. No matter how much time has passed, there’s a familiar comfort in seeing it again — steady, unchanging, and woven into the fabric of what it means to be a Cyclone. The Campanile doesn’t just mark the heart of campus. For so many of us alums, it marks a chapter of life we’ll always carry with us.
